Scouting Verdict
Vanderbilt's homegrown slot weapon whose production has climbed every season — 293 yards, then 411, then a 54-catch, 784-yard, seven-touchdown 2025 that made him the offense's engine. Sherrill plays with the ambition he states openly ('most dynamic person with the ball in my hands in the country'), and a 14.5-yard average says the catches are not dink-and-dunk padding. One independent scouting outlet has floated top-50 upside with a comp to a 2026 first-rounder. The catch: that is a single voice — no national board ranks him yet — and at 5-11, 200 from a program without a receiver-development track record, the burden of proof sits entirely on him; the injury that interrupted his 2025 needs to stay behind him too. The trajectory is real and the senior tape decides everything. Right now this is a fringe-draftable grade for 2027 with a priority-free-agent floor and honest late-Day 3 ambitions if the yardage crosses four figures.
