Scouting Verdict
A traits bet at its purest: 6-5, 246 with the get-off reputation that made him the No. 22 overall recruit, now restarting at LSU after Tennessee never carved out the snaps. The high school dominance was real — 12.5 sacks and 23 tackles for loss as a Vestavia Hills senior — and the summer-scouting industry has already anointed him with 2027 first-round mocks and top-15 board placements. Here is the problem, and it is not small: 26 career tackles and 1.5 sacks across two college seasons. The number I don't trust is every one of those mock slots, because they are still grading the recruit. Blake Baker's scheme manufactures free rushers, and LSU is handing him a featured role for the first time in his life. Day 2 grade on the pedigree-plus-flash math, ceiling carrying the Round 1 case — but nothing converts without a double-digit-pressure-month breakout in 2026.
