Scouting Verdict
Three-down linebacker from the St. John Bosco factory who does a bit of everything and did it early. Viliamu-Asa played meaningful snaps as a true freshman (37 tackles, an interception), then grew into a genuine chess piece in 2025 — 48 tackles, 3 sacks, 2 pass breakups and another pick in 11 games — before an ACL tear against Syracuse ended his season. Rush and coverage production living in the same stat line is what separates him; the analytics crowd calls him the best linebacker in the sport and PFF has him as the 2027 class's LB1. However, everything now runs through the knee. He is a rehab evaluation until he isn't, and off-ball linebacker punishes any lost half-step. If the 2026 tape looks like the pre-injury player, he is a Day 2 pick with an argument for better; the medical file is the entire risk profile.
