Scouting Verdict
A corner who gets his hands on more footballs than his stat line finishes. Berry posted 9 pass breakups in 2024 and 10 more in 2025 as a two-year Michigan starter, with 3 interceptions and a forced fumble across the run, and his brief trip into the portal ended with him choosing to come back and lead the room. Nineteen breakups in two seasons is legitimate ball-in-the-air production for an outside cover man, and the sleeper draft buzz around him is grounded in exactly that. However, he measures 5-11, 196, and the league sorts sub-six-foot outside corners hard — while one interception on ten breakups in 2025 says the takeaway conversion is not there yet either. The 2026 season is about proving the frame holds up against Big Ten X receivers and the ball skills finish. Day 3 in the 2027 class, with special teams buying the rookie-year runway.
