Scouting Verdict
Georgia is sitting on the No. 5 overall recruit in the country, and this grade is pedigree, not tape. Williams arrived as the top-ranked linebacker in his class off a truncated Oak Ridge senior year (35 tackles, eight for loss in three recorded games) and has no recoverable college production through two seasons — a reality no amount of five-star shine changes. What exists instead is trajectory: leadership-role reporting out of spring practice, younger teammates being compared to him, and a staff positioning him to inherit the snaps vacated by 2026 draft departures. Georgia's linebacker pipeline gives the projection a believable template. However, an evaluation cannot cash a template — until he logs a starter's season, the elite athletic reputation is unverifiable from here, and no 2027 mock or board lists him anywhere. The 2028 class is the working projection. If the breakout lands in 2026, this number moves fast and far; if it does not, pedigree alone will not carry a draftable grade.
