Confirmed
The Jacksonville State tape said ballhawk: 77 tackles, eight passes defensed and three interceptions in 2024. The first Miami season said solid: 68 tackles, five breakups and zero picks. That gap is the whole evaluation. Poyser owns prototype safety dimensions at 6-2, 200, ranked as the No. 2 safety in his transfer class, and teammates flagged him as one of the roster's surprising speed merchants — the traits and the tackle production both survived the jump up in competition. However, the takeaways didn't, and a safety whose calling card was ball production can't spend a second straight year without an interception at the Power-4 level. He also exited the Texas A&M game after a big collision, worth monitoring given how physically he plays. The 2028-class projection is fringe/priority UDFA until the turnovers travel up a level; the frame and instincts say they might.
