West Virginia transfer and the Sun Belt coaches' preseason second-team quarterback: 115-of-196 for 1,327 yards and 11 touchdowns in seven starts (241.8 yards per full start), third among Sun Belt quarterbacks with 225+ dropbacks at a 76.2 PFF grade, including 361 yards and four scores against Georgia State and the 285-yard, three-touchdown West clincher at Southern Miss. Shoulder surgery cost him seven games and he was sacked 24 times behind the nation's worst pass-protection unit — the floor carries that risk.
