Scouting Notes

The story of the 2025 season and a genuine evaluation puzzle: a Division II Ferris State transfer who walked into Ole Miss, threw for 3,937 yards and 22 touchdowns to just three picks, ran for eight more, and finished around eighth in the Heisman voting for a Playoff team. The dual-threat tape is real — 66 percent accuracy, a 155.3 rating, and 527 rushing yards that show he creates when the pocket breaks, building on a D-II 2024 where he ran for over 1,000 yards and 25 scores. However, the NFL projection is a wide band by necessity: a sixth-year senior at 6-0 with exactly one FBS season, an unconventional path, and arm-strength and size boxes scouts will press hard. The level jump cuts both ways — he's already answered it once, but pros will want a bigger sample. A Day 2-3 flier whose ceiling is legitimate if the traits test clean, graded on one year of tape rather than the highlight resume.
