Scouting Notes

A penetrating three-technique who lives in the backfield and plays with the leverage to reset the line of scrimmage. Echoles turned a five-game, half-sack 2024 into a genuine breakout in 2025: 68 tackles, five sacks and five pass breakups across 15 games, the kind of interior production that shows up on double-teams as much as one-on-ones. The get-off and hand quickness let him win early, and ESPN slotted him among the nation's top draft-eligible interior defenders. The caution is baked into the timeline, though: this is one proven season of dominance, and single-year interior breakouts carry more variance than the raw sack number suggests, so I want to see the disruption repeat before treating the ceiling as the floor. SI has floated a first-half-of-Round-2 projection with a Round 1 push, and AtoZ ranks him the No. 3 draft-eligible tackle for 2027. Projects as a Day 2 interior defender with a real path to the first round if 2026 confirms it.
