Scouting Notes

Five-star interior wrecker built to work the A-gap and shrink the pocket before a quarterback finishes his drop. Stone flashed as a rotational freshman in 2024, then took over the Sooner front in 2025 with 43 tackles and a disruptive brand of interior play that earned midseason All-American mention and a strong pass-rush grade against SEC lines. He plays with heavy hands and quick feet for 315 pounds, the pedigree of the No. 9 recruit in his class showing up on stacked-and-shed reps. However, the sack total (1.5) still lags the disruption, and until the finishing plays match the pressure, the ceiling is projected more than proven. Draft evaluators already have him near the top of the 2027 interior class; the traits and ascending role point to a Round 1 outcome if the 2026 tape converts pressures into production.
