Scouting Notes

Three-year SEC starter carrying the pedigree of the nation's No. 16 recruit and finally the ball production to match — a senior-year line of 46 tackles, seven breakups and two interceptions that was his healthiest and best. Bowen's game is versatility: he has logged real snaps across the back end, and the instincts that made him a five-star show in how quickly he closes on throws in front of him. The 2025 tape is the résumé's spine. However, the middle of the arc sags — his 2024 produced 33 tackles, one breakup and no takeaways, and evaluators will fairly ask which season is the real him. Two career interceptions across three years is light for a safety with his coverage reputation. Oklahoma will lean on him as the secondary's elder voice, a role he has been reluctant to claim out loud. A steady, healthy 2026 makes him a Day 3 selection in 2027 with versatility-plus-special-teams value from day one.
