Scouting Notes

The most accurate passer in college football, full stop — 77 percent, the national lead, across a 14-game title-contender schedule with 32 touchdowns against 8 picks and a 177.5 rating. Sayin plays it the way the five-star Alabama signee was always supposed to: ball out on time, an offense that never stalls. The 2027 boards already treat him as a top-three quarterback and probable first-rounder. However, two honest discounts keep this at Day 2 for now: he is a 6-1, 208-pound distributor with negative rushing value (minus-44 yards) who has thrown to arguably the nation's best pass-catchers, so separating the passer from the supporting cast takes a second look — and it is one starting season, with at least one prominent evaluator doubting he even declares. The accuracy is a rare, bankable trait; if the efficiency survives 2026's roster turnover, the 9.6 ceiling takes over.
