Scouting Verdict
Downhill lead back with size and burst who ran through a full workload as a sophomore, gashing defenses for 1,090 yards at 6.1 a carry with six scores and a 19-catch receiving role. Jackson runs behind his pads, makes one cut and hits it, and looks the part of an every-down back at 6-0, 217. He was the engine of a heavy-favorite offense and handled bell-cow volume without the tread showing. However, the sample is a single season and the injury history is a real footnote — durability at the position is the number the grade discounts, and a back's stock lives and dies on staying upright. What you want in 2026 is a second 1,000-yard year that proves the body holds up to lead-back touches. Ascending, productive and a legitimate draft back on a Day 2/Day 3 trajectory if the availability matches the ability.
