Scouting Notes

The face of Vanderbilt's football renaissance chose one more year of it, turning down the 2026 draft after his most efficient season: 567 yards at a career-best 5.4 per carry, 11 rushing touchdowns and another 19 catches, giving him 60 career receptions and genuine three-down credentials. At 5-9, 207 Alexander is compact, durable — three straight 12-game seasons — and the offense's vocal leader by every account out of Nashville, with a Doak Walker watch-list nod already banked. However, the career yardage tells the other half of the story: he has never reached 600 rushing yards in a season, and the 3.6 and 3.9 averages of his first two years mean 2025 is the only tape where the efficiency matched the role. Volume backs without a 1,000-yard season fight uphill at the position. Priority-UDFA projection in the 2027 class, where the receiving chops, ball security and leadership give him a legitimate camp case.
