Scouting Notes

Virginia Tech imported its passing-game credibility in one portal move: Brown's 64-catch, 846-yard, five-touchdown 2025 at Duke makes him the most proven pass-catcher on the Hokies roster by a wide margin, and the 41-catch 2024 before it shows the volume was no fluke. He wins with short-area quickness and run-after-catch instincts, and the high school tape at East Forsyth shows a player who has always found the football. However, 5-8 and 170 pounds is the entire ceiling conversation — receivers at that size need elite verified speed or return-game value to get drafted, and neither is documented in this file yet. The 2028 class placement gives him two seasons to build that case. Fringe, priority-free-agent path on this grade: a 900-yard ACC year as VT's featured target would force the conversation, but the frame leaves zero margin for error.
