Scouting Notes

Twenty yards a catch is not a rounding error — Becker averaged exactly that on his 34-catch, 679-yard breakout, flipping the field for Indiana every time the ball went deep. At 6-4 and 207 pounds with a three-star, No. 977 recruiting profile, he is the classic hidden-gem riser: two games and a single touchdown in 2024, then WR1 production and first-round mock placements (PFN, ESPN's Jordan Reid and Bleacher Report among them) twelve months later. The catch — and it's a real one — is volume: 34 receptions is a thin sample to hang first-round money on, and defenses will now roll coverage his way instead of treating him like an unknown. A 60-catch season at anything near that efficiency ends the argument. Until then the honest projection is a Day 2 pick in the 2027 class carrying legitimate first-round buzz, with the size-and-speed production profile to close that gap in a hurry.
