Scouting Notes

Volume producer with splash in every column — the 2025 line at Pitt read 100 tackles, 4.5 sacks, two interceptions and two forced fumbles, stacked on an 81-tackle, six-sack, nine-breakup 2024. Few linebackers in the portal offered that blend of blitz value and coverage ball production, which is why Texas made him a headline add and hands him the middle of an SEC defense. However, one number invites a second look: only 39 of those 100 tackles were solo, a share that hints at arrive-second production, and the sack total halved from 2024 — the Texas tape needs to show him beating blocks to the spot rather than cleaning up behind a loaded front. Day 3 grade on the 2027 track, and the situation is the multiplier. A 90-tackle season with splash plays, on a contending defense, against SEC bodies, moves him from late-round volume name to a legitimate top-100 argument.
