Scouting Notes

Boundary size, vertical production and five-star pedigree — mocks already treat him as the 2027 receiver class's clearest bet behind Jeremiah Smith, and the resume mostly earns it. The freshman year is the hook: 37 catches at 16.2 a pop with eight touchdowns as a first-year player in the SEC, downfield damage that matched the No. 3-overall recruiting billing. However, the 2025 line is the one to interrogate — more volume (56 catches) but the punch shrank to 12.6 per catch and five scores as Auburn's offense sputtered around him. The move to Texas and Arch Manning is a bet on the environment, and it's a fair one, but he still has to show the freshman efficiency and the sophomore volume can live in the same season. Round 1 grade with true No. 1-receiver upside; a 1,000-yard year in Austin makes the top-10 mocks look tame.
