Scouting Notes

Long-levered blindside anchor at 6-7, 325 whose stock has sprinted from national No. 414 recruit to top-10 in early 2027 first-round mocks. Goosby earned first-team All-SEC honors at left tackle while keeping Arch Manning upright, and the draft industry has responded — consensus No. 8 overall on aggregate boards, with multiple mocks slotting him sixth. The length is rare, the ascent is real, and the assignment he handles is the most scrutinized in college football. However, this is a fast rise built on essentially one season of headline-level play, and stock that moves this quickly can move back; another autumn of clean tape against SEC speed off the edge is what cements the grade. He chose to return to Austin for 2026 with exactly that opportunity in front of him. Everything points to an early declare and a Round 1 call in the 2027 class, with franchise-left-tackle expectations attached.
