Scouting Notes

A 238-pound dual-threat who plays quarterback like a fullback with a live arm, breaking contain and punishing angles once he crosses the line. Sellers announced himself in 2024 with 2,534 passing yards, 18 touchdowns and 674 rushing yards, the kind of leverage-shifting run game that warps defensive plans. He is South Carolina's clear best player and carries A-level physical tools that put him at the front of the 2027 QB race. However, the 2025 tape cooled the hype: passing efficiency slipped, the rushing production nearly halved, and the interceptions (eight) crept up as defenses forced him to win from the pocket. The pass-game consistency and ball security are the developmental line to watch under a new play-caller. His ceiling is a franchise centerpiece and his stock still lands in the Day 2/fringe-Round 1 band; a bounce-back throwing year is what pushes him back toward the top of the board.
