Scouting Notes

Well-traveled MIKE who has produced in every scheme he has touched — and he has touched a few. Campbell posted 76 tackles and 6.5 sacks at North Carolina in 2024, moved to Penn State and stacked 103 tackles in 2025, and now reunites with Jim Knowles at Tennessee to play the quarterback role of that defense for a third program in three seasons. The three-down durability and back-to-back high-volume years make him the most proven defender on the Vols' roster. However, the pass-rush pop did not travel — 6.5 sacks became 3 — and constant relocation means no staff has two consecutive years of him on film. At 6-0, 230 he needs the splash plays to climb out of the tackler-only bin. Fringe-draftable in the 2027 class: a priority-free-agent starting point, where a 100-tackle SEC season with the 2024 sack rate attached would move him solidly into draftable range.
