Scouting Notes

Big-bodied dual-threat who authored one of the Group of Five's best 2025 seasons and now takes the show to the SEC. Brown's final USF year was legitimate two-way mass production: 3,158 passing yards, 28 touchdowns against 7 picks on 66.3 percent, plus 1,008 rushing yards and 14 more scores — a 4,166-yard, 42-touchdown season at 6-3, 232. It was also a rebound, coming after a 2024 cut to just 132 attempts, so it doubles as proof of durability. ESPN's Tom Luginbill has already placed him in elite SEC company before a snap at Auburn. However, every yard of the resume came against American Conference defenses, and the 2023 version threw 11 interceptions when the volume rose — the level jump is the entire evaluation. Fringe-draftable in the 2027 class: a priority-free-agent baseline that a top-half-of-the-SEC season would rewrite completely.
