Scouting Notes

Baylor's 2024 workhorse — 1,028 yards at 5.9 per carry, 12 touchdowns and 22 catches — chasing a reset at Auburn after a quieter 2025 (788 yards at 5.1). That 2024 season is the proof of concept: a 216-pound back with a three-down toolkit and Power-conference production, exactly the resume mid-round evaluations get built on, and multiple 2027 outlets keep him in the class's Round 3-5 conversation. However, the direction of travel is the problem — every efficiency number dipped in 2025, and the local reporting has him competing for Auburn's backup job, not the crown. A back who needs his 2024 self to be draftable cannot afford a committee season at a new school. Fringe grade for the 2027 class; the priority-free-agent path is the default from here, and only a return to the thousand-yard, 5.9-a-carry form with genuine touch volume rewrites the ending.
