The 2027 class's most expensive lottery ticket: a former No. 37-overall recruit with a 6-5, 265 edge frame, now on his third SEC program with 50 career tackles and 4.5 sacks to show for three seasons. The St. Frances tape that made him a five-star — 15 sacks, 26 tackles for loss as a senior — has simply never reappeared: LSU used him sparingly, Ole Miss got a career-best but still modest 27-tackle, 2-sack year, and Auburn is betting that the starter snaps vacated by two NFL departures finally unlock it. An offseason arrest added an off-field flag to an already complicated file. The frame and pedigree will keep scouts in the building through 2026, and eligibility forces the 2027 decision regardless. But this is a production evaluation, and the production says fringe: without something like a seven-sack season as Auburn's featured edge, the five-star label ends as a camp-invite footnote.
