Late-arriving pass rusher whose 2025 leap was steep enough to make two quiet Nebraska seasons look like the wrong fit rather than the real player. Umanmielen posted 9 sacks and 13 tackles for loss at Ole Miss — ESPN's top pass-rusher in the transfer portal — then jumped to LSU for a final SEC lap, loudly rejecting any 'building mindset.' The production came at a premium position against the best offensive tackles in college football, and that is what this grade is buying. However, the resume is one year deep: 1.5 combined sacks across two Nebraska seasons means evaluators are trusting a single breakout plus a scheme change, and at 6-4, 244 he will have to keep proving his edge-setting against SEC run games built to test light rushers. Day 2 caliber with early-round upside if the sack rate repeats in a new front and a new locker room.
