A long, press-man corner with rare height for the position and the recovery speed to match, still climbing the developmental curve. Pickett arrived as a five-star (No. 11 overall) and earned Freshman All-America honors in 2025 with three interceptions and 37 tackles, flashing the ball skills and closing burst that draw the length comparisons; at 6-4 he can smother routes and contest at the catch point in ways most corners cannot. The current grade is honest freshman tape: the technique and route recognition are still being built, and the projection is a bet on the arc rather than a finished product. That said, few players on any board carry this ceiling, and he sits No. 10 on the NMDD 2028 consensus big board. As a true sophomore he is not eligible until 2028, and the triangulated expectation is a top-15 selection. Projects as a future first-round corner whose grade will rise as the tape catches up to the traits.
