Scouting Notes

Long, ascending edge presence at 6-5, 253 whose production has doubled every fall — a sack in his lone 2023 appearance, three in five games in 2024, then 6.5 across a full 2025 as the anchor of Notre Dame's pass rush. The rush is the calling card: 37 tackles is modest volume, but the disruption rate is what keeps evaluators engaged, and his own admission that 'last year wasn't enough' suggests the arrow is still climbing. Consensus boards slot him around No. 68 in the 2027 class, with one mock ceiling reaching the mid-first. However, Traore has never carried a full-time every-down workload — the run-defense résumé and the snap count both have to grow before the pass-rush numbers translate into three-down NFL value. Notre Dame will lean on him as the headliner of its front this fall. Day 2 projection for 2027, with the ceiling grade banking on a double-digit-sack breakout.
