Scouting Notes

Sticky nickel who followed Kyle Whittingham from Utah to Michigan and steps straight into the slot — a two-year starter with 17 pass breakups and four interceptions across 2024-25, production that says he stays attached in coverage and finds the ball at the catch point. He's scheme-familiar and instinctive inside, the surest returning defensive back on a rebuilt secondary. However, the frame is the ceiling: at 5-10, 185 he's a nickel-only projection with the size and long speed that pro evaluators flag, and the pick production, while steady, hasn't spiked into the takeaway numbers that force a higher grade. A proven, plug-and-play cover man with real ball skills inside — a quality college starter and fringe pro whose slot-only body caps the 2027 projection.
