Scouting Verdict
Georgia's linebacker factory promotes from within, and Wilson is the next foreman — a former five-star (No. 28 overall) whose tackle production has climbed every season, 15 to 47 to 74, before he turned down the 2026 draft to run the front seven as a senior. Three years inside the sport's most talent-dense defense means the assignments were earned, not gifted, and with CJ Allen off to the NFL the green dot and the leadership burden are his. However, the splash column is thin for the pedigree: zero career interceptions, 4.5 career sacks and one pass breakup per year reads as a downhill volume tackler more than a difference-maker, and fifth-year linebackers get drafted on difference-making. The 2026 season is his chance to add the takeaway and pressure production the tape has lacked. Day 3 projection in the 2027 class, with the recruiting resume that keeps evaluators watching for one more level.
