Scouting Verdict
Georgia shopped in-state and bought size: Canion is a 6-4, 205-pound boundary target coming off a 33-catch, 480-yard, four-touchdown breakout at Georgia Tech, and the Bulldogs' staff has made clear he was a portal priority, not a flier. The 14.5 yards per catch shows real downfield utility, the frame gives Georgia the outside presence its receiver room lacked, and the early reviews out of Athens have been consistently strong. However, the résumé is one moderate season deep — 39 career catches total — and this evaluation won't project SEC production from an ACC sample that modest, no matter how good the frame looks stepping off the bus. The 2028 class placement is right; there is no draft-board signal yet beyond a single beat-writer line. Fringe, priority-free-agent band today with a fully live ceiling: a 700-yard year as Georgia's X would rewrite this file completely.
