Scouting Notes

Tackle-machine safety and the emotional center of Boston College's defense — team captain, All-ACC second team, and back-to-back team tackling titles at 85 in 2024 and 94 in 2025 while bouncing between strong safety and linebacker. Price's game is volume and reliability: 25 consecutive starts across two seasons, ownership of the defense's communication, and the sort of leadership resume that NFL special-teams coordinators notice first. However, the pro evaluation is unsentimental math: four interceptions and six passes defensed in three seasons is quiet ball production for a safety, big tackle totals on a defense that concedes volume can flatter, and there is no draft-media footprint to lean on. Priority-free-agent path — the core-special-teamer archetype who makes a roster by surviving August rather than by hearing his name in April. A senior-year takeaway spike is the one thing that changes the math.
