Scouting Notes

Late-blooming volume runner making the two-level jump: buried at Georgia Tech (47 career rushing yards), Dickens dropped to Liberty and ran for 1,339 yards and 16 touchdowns at 5.8 a carry — ninth nationally — then transferred back up to Boston College to prove it travels. The 229-carry workload answers the durability question and the touchdown total shows genuine finishing ability, which is more than most Group-of-5 breakouts bring with them. But this projection stays honest about the ladder: the production came against Conference USA fronts, his entire Power-4 résumé is 11 carries, and 5 catches all season leaves the passing-game role a total unknown. No draft outlet currently carries him as a consensus-ranked prospect, and the grade agrees — fringe, priority-free-agent track for 2028. The 2026 season is the whole evaluation: 1,000 ACC yards makes him a late-round name, anything less confirms the level-of-competition read.
