Scouting Notes

Late-blooming edge with a growth curve you can set a ruler on: one tackle as a freshman, a rotational 2023, six sacks in 2024, then a 12.5-sack eruption in 2025 that made him a preseason All-American and the anchor of Minnesota's defense. At 6-6 and 285 pounds he brings base-end size with genuine pass-rush production, and passing on the 2026 draft to return reads like a player betting on one more jump. However, the resume leans hard on a single dominant season — seven career sacks before 2025 — and as a fifth-year senior he will be an older rookie than most of his 2027 classmates, which shortens the development story scouts can sell. The number to verify is whether 12.5 was the new baseline or the peak. Day 2 grade with a narrow band: the size-production pairing gives him a sturdy floor, and a second double-digit-sack season presses on the first-round door.
