Scouting Notes

A 12.5-sack season buys attention in any league — White posted it at San Diego State in 2024, added seven more in 2025, and brings a two-time All-Mountain West edge resume to Texas Tech at 6-2, 255. The unranked-recruit-to-portal-prize arc (No. 1894 nationally out of high school) is entirely production-driven: 19.5 sacks over two seasons with 107 combined tackles, and Texas Tech imported him specifically to be the every-down edge presence in a loaded front. However, the honest hesitation is context — that production came against Mountain West tackles, and the dip from 12.5 sacks to seven, even a productive seven, keeps the question open about which year was the true baseline. The Big 12 season is the proof point his whole projection has been waiting for. Day 3 projection in the 2027 class; hit double-digit pressures against Power-4 linemen and the grade moves with it.
