Scouting Notes

Two very different seasons walked into the portal with him. The 2024 version was one of the Big 12's most productive linebackers — 96 tackles and 3 forced fumbles as an every-down presence for Kansas State. The 2025 version slid to 66 stops, and now he lands at Texas Tech, where the staff talks openly about 'unlocking' him in Shiel Wood's defense. At 6-2, 240 with 184 career tackles, the run-defense foundation is proven Power-4 material, and the plug-and-play fit next to Ben Roberts gives Texas Tech the league's most experienced second level. However, the arrow matters: pick the wrong season as the real one and you've signed a declining player. The pass-game production has never been the sell either — 3.5 career sacks and one interception. Day 3 track; the bet is that the scheme change restores the 2024 volume, and that's the tape this grade waits on.
