Scouting Notes

A vertical burner in a compact frame who turns short catches into chunk plays and stresses defenses on the take-top. Craver broke out in his first A&M season with 59 catches for 917 yards and four scores, a leap from a nine-game Mississippi State debut where he still averaged 21.6 yards a grab; the speed is real and the 15.5-yard average in a full SEC role proves the production travels. He is a live gadget threat too, mixing in 11 carries, and his release quickness lets him separate early. The honest doubt is the frame: at 5-9, 165 he is a slot-and-motion weapon rather than a boundary X, and he will have to answer press-man and contested-catch questions that a bigger receiver does not. PFF has floated him into 2027 first-round mocks and he lands No. 49 on the NMDD consensus board, so the arrow points up. Projects as a Day 2 receiver with a role as a designed-touch and vertical specialist from day one.
