Scouting Notes

Compact, quick-triggered dual-threat quarterback whose two-year arc at A&M points straight up — 1,864 yards and 15 scores in 2024, then 3,169 and 25 in 2025 as a full-season SEC starter. Reed throws with anticipation, extends plays with his legs and is the most proven, productive player on the Aggie roster. He already flirted with an early draft jump before returning. However, the ball security is the honest flag: 12 interceptions in 2025 against a lighter 185-pound frame raises both a decision-making and a durability question, and those are the two numbers a Day 2 grade would need to see trend down. What you want in 2026 is a cleaner touchdown-to-interception ratio without losing the aggression. Ascending, productive and firmly in the 2027 QB conversation; the grade lands in the Day 3/late-round band with room to climb if the turnovers come down.
