Scouting Notes

The most productive true freshman back in the sport and the portal's No. 1 runner for a reason: 1,434 rushing yards at 6.2 a clip, 25 rushing touchdowns, plus 32 catches for 370 more at North Texas — then PFF's highest-graded returning back and a Walter Camp Preseason All-American before taking a single Power-4 snap. The receiving line matters as much as the rushing one; three-down usage at 6-0, 219 is the profile the league actually pays for at the position. However, the sample is one season against American-conference fronts, and the calendar is the honest governor — he can't enter a draft until 2028, so everything from here is projection across two more years of tread on a running back's odometer. The 25 scores also rode an elite North Texas offense; goal-line volume doesn't automatically travel. Day 3-caliber grade today with a clear Day 2 ceiling if the per-carry efficiency survives the Big 12.
