Scouting Notes

An outlier body type at safety — 6-4, 215 — with the breakout season to make it interesting. Satuala went from a nine-tackle freshman cameo to the engine of BYU's back end in 2025: 84 tackles, 3 interceptions and 2 forced fumbles as a first-time full-time starter, with the high school file (12 interceptions over his last two Bountiful seasons) saying the ball production is native, not fluky. National 2027 coverage frames a Day 1-2 ceiling if he takes one more step. However, the next step just got harder: a broken foot suffered in an offseason workout has him out at least eight weeks and threatens the start of 2026, and the resume underneath is still a single productive season. Big safeties with his range get drafted; big safeties coming off foot fractures get re-checked. Fringe-draftable today in the 2027 class, with a healthy repeat season the difference between UDFA math and a real Day 3 rise.
