Scouting Verdict
Oversized playmaker at off-ball linebacker with back-to-back seasons of real takeaway production: 70 tackles, 3.5 sacks and three interceptions in 2024, then 67, 3 and 2 in 2025. Five career picks from a 6-5, 240-pound linebacker is a genuinely unusual profile — coverage production at that length is what NFL sub-packages hunt for, and it is the reason a No. 1654 recruit became BYU's defensive centerpiece and drew a Bleacher Report draft profile before choosing to return for 2026. However, the pass-rush numbers are modest for his size, the injury history sits on the ledger, and none of the pre-return draft coverage placed him early — the evaluation reads late-round from every angle. Day 3 track for 2027: the coverage ball skills are the ticket, and a third straight multi-interception season would make him one of the class's better-value linebacker bets.
