Scouting Notes

Four seasons of steady interior snaps across both sides of the Utah-BYU rivalry, without a true breakout in any of them. Tanuvasa's 2025 as BYU's lead defensive tackle: 26 tackles, two sacks and three batted passes at 6-4, 300 — respectable anchor work, and his hands-up presence at the pocket's edge shows in eight career passes defensed, an unusual number for a nose. He returned for a final season as one of the program's central leaders, and the durability record across four years of Power-4 trench play is clean. However, the ceiling has been visible for a while: he has never topped 27 tackles or two sacks in a season, and the stat line reads rotational even in his best years, which is exactly how NFL teams will read it. Priority-UDFA path in the 2027 class, where the size, program pedigree and special-teams-interior utility give him a real camp invitation case.
