Scouting Notes

A pocket surgeon whose value is built on volume, ball security and repeatable accuracy across two Power-conference stops. Mensah completed 66.8% for 3,973 yards and 34 touchdowns against just six interceptions at Duke in 2025, a season that followed a 22-touchdown, six-pick campaign at Tulane; two years, 56 touchdowns and only 12 giveaways is the profile of a passer who trusts his reads and protects the football. He layers throws to all three levels from a legitimate 6-3 frame and functions best when the game tilts toward late-down passing. He is not a run threat, though (minus-32 rushing yards in 2025), so the offense has to win with his arm and timing rather than his legs, and he will need to prove the low turnover rate holds behind a new front seven's worth of pressure at Miami. Multiple 2027 boards already slot him near the top of the class, and the production backs the buzz. Projects as a Round 1 quarterback and an immediate franchise-caliber starter.
