Scouting Notes

Miami corner whose national buzz has sprinted far ahead of anything we can verify on paper: Freshman All-America recognition, early top-10 2027 cornerback lists, even a first-round mock appearance — all attached to a former three-star (CB66) out of the St. Thomas Aquinas pipeline. That's a lot of smoke for a player whose documented production is still a 10-breakup high school season. The honest read: the coverage reps are clearly real — freshman All-America nods don't happen from the bench — but the takeaway side of the ledger is exactly what's missing, and Miami's own coverage frames converting coverage into interceptions as his next developmental step. So the grade holds the line the buzz won't. Late-round-track number today with a Day 2-caliber ceiling, and this is the profile in the batch most likely to move fast in either direction once 2026 box scores give the reputation a spine.
