Scouting Notes

Joystick runner who has averaged nearly eight yards a carry across two seasons — 1,173 yards as a freshman, then 884 in just nine games at an absurd 8.8 per attempt before a lower-leg injury ended his 2025. Brown erases pursuit angles once he is through the second level, and the freshman receiving line (30 catches) shows a third-down toolkit that keeps him on the field. He is a consensus top-five back in the 2027 class per ESPN's evaluators, with a pair of Round 1 mock appearances already banked. However, he is 5-9, 190 with a season-ending leg injury on the résumé, and small backs with durability questions get discounted hard on draft weekend — a full, healthy 200-carry season is the single most important thing he can show in 2026. He flirted with the portal and stayed; Louisville's offense will run through him. Day 2 projection in 2027, with efficiency numbers that argue for higher if the body holds.
